August 8, 2006 Dear Customer: On August 2, 2006 the Robertshaw Controls Company, Division of Invensys Controls, and the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission jointly announced the voluntary recall of the Robertshaw FS Flame Switch and the FM Automatic Safety Valve. This affects multiple companies within the Food Service Industry. The Robertshaw FS Flame Switches in question were manufactured with a date code of 0531 through 0549. Some of these Robertshaw FS Flame Switches were used in the manufacturing of Vulcan and/or Wolf Cooking Equipment. A list of all affected models is listed on the Robertshaw Company Web Site, www.Robertshaw.com. Or you may call Robertshaw on their company Hotline at 1-800-232-9389. The process for using the Web Site is to enter www.Robertshaw.com and click on 2006 FS FM Recall, which is located in the upper left corner. Once on the Recall Page you can use the prompts for all the companies listed. The specific model numbers for each company are listed. If you have a unit that is involved, please contact Robertshaw at FS@Robertshaw.com or call 1-800-232-9389. The Team at Robertshaw will schedule a service call to inspect and, if necessary, replace the flame switch.
